fine art
I am one of those fortunate people who have been addicted to creating one piece of art after another and happily surviving. I have always made my living with very little compromise to my values and integrity.
My early training in the 1960's at New York University was the commencement of my destiny. Helen Frankenthaler, Estaban Vincinte and my mentor, Hale Woodruff, were part of a prestigious faculty of working artists, great thinkers and teachers who set the standard both artistically and ethically.
I began selling my work over forty years ago and it is fair to say, I have sold thousands of pieces. I have won my share of juried awards, and I am in many private, museum and gallery collections.

The highlights of my carrier change as the years pass by. I remember my delight when one of my pieces was selected by Dr. Li-an Chen as a symbol for peace and harmony with China during his campaign in the first free election for the Presidency of Taiwan. I saw people wearing this artwork as a badge of honor, and it warmed my heart.
I was chosen to do the fifteenth anniversary poster for the National Commission on Science and Library Information at the Library of congress. This was my first glimpse of the government in Washington, D.C.
I was selected by Mrs. Hillary Clinton as the Artist on the Lawn and Poster Artist for the Easter Egg Celebration at the White House during the years of 1997 and 199
Enjoy my art work. I will interject a comment or two when I feel it will shed light on my motives or perceptions at the time when the pieces were created.
